The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team
Trust
When team members are genuinely transparent and honest with one another, it forms a safe environment that creates and builds vulnerability-based trust.
Conflict
With trust, team members are able to engage in unfiltered, constructive debate of ideas.
Commitment
When team members are able to offer opinions and debate ideas, they feel heard and respected, and will be more likely to commit to decisions.
Accountability
Once everyone is committed to a clear plan of action, they will be more willing to hold one another accountable.
Results
The ultimate goal is the achievement of results, which is unlocked through implementing the model’s principles of Trust, Conflict, Commitment, and Accountability.
As the workplace evolves, so do team dynamics. Giving your team the skills they need to work together effectively, regardless of where they are working, is more important than ever. Based on the work of Patrick Lencioni’s international best-seller, The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, The Five Behaviors® workshops transform teams through The Five Behaviors® model of Trust, Conflict, Commitment, Accountability, and Results to enhance team effectiveness and productivity.
Whether it is with the Five Behaviors® Personal Development workshop solution which helps individuals learn the skills they need to “team” effectively on any team and build a culture of teamwork, or the Five Behaviors® Team Development solution which helps intact teams gain the know-how to work better together, these workshops can help you and your team activate its ability to drive results through cohesive teamwork,
Workshops for
In-Tact Teams
These workshops, focused on team development, are available in 1- to 3-day formats and can be delivered as full-day sessions or broken down into smaller, more manageable sessions over time. This solution is specifically designed for a single, intact team of 3-12 people who work closely together and share collective responsibility for achieving results. It’s tailored for teams that meet regularly, with interdependent roles, shared goals, and mutual accountability. The session focuses on building trust, improving communication, and enhancing collaboration to drive high performance. Not every group qualifies as a true team, so it’s essential that the participants meet these criteria for the process to be effective. The team must be prepared for focused work on their dynamics, with a committed leader ready to guide the transformation.
Workshops for Individuals
This workshop is ideal for any individual employee, regardless of their team or role within the organization. Unlike the team development workshop, which focuses on improving the dynamics of a specific, intact team, this session centers on personal growth and understanding the key behaviors that contribute to cohesive teams. With up to 30 participants, it helps individuals apply teamwork principles to their roles, enhancing their collaboration and effectiveness across the broader organization, regardless of whether they are part of a formal team.
